Alliance of Boston Neighborhoods is established.

[1999-Liu] Founded by Shirley Kressel and others, its purpose is to “serve as the voice of neighborhood interests” especially involving the city’s development process. The organization subsequently attracts representatives from nearly 30 other groups across the city.
